Registration for the 2010 HTCIA Atlantic Canada conference is now open. The 2010 conference will be hosted at the Delta Hotel in St. John's, NL on October 20, 2010 with the theme, "Do you know where your data is?". If you are interested in registering, please visit our online registration site.

Our Next Chapter Meeting

You can find out when we will be having our next chapter meeting by visiting our new interactive events calendar. As usual, our chapter meetings are hosted at the RCMP detachment locations. An e-mail will be sent out to remind everyone and provide information on the speakers for the meeting.

2009 HTCIA Conference Presentations

The HTCIA's 7th Annual conference was held on September 21 and 22, 2009 in Dartmouth, NS. It was a great success. Thank you to all our fanstastic sponsors including our platinum co-sponsors, McAfee and Bell Aliant as well as our speakers and attendees. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.

Update - 2008 CSI Survey on Computer Security

The Computer Crime and Security Survey is conducted by CSI annually. The aim of this effort is to raise the level of security awareness, as well as help determine the scope of computer crime in the United States. This is a great document that shows "real world" response to what companies, government and non-profits are doing to mitigate the risk of security issues. The 2007 survey (2008 soon to be released) can be downloaded from here.
